Stories So Far.

My personal regenerative journey.

Wait, where have I been when? And what happened there that I want to remember? Sometimes, in order to make memories stick, let information become experience and knowledge, you need to write them down. I need to write them down. To be able to go back. To be able to reflect. These are insights, moments, and anecdotes about life, travels, and the people I have met and don’t want to forget.

New chapters. [Our nomadic life 2022 – Leaving Berlin]

In January, Bridget, the cats, and I moved out of the apartment in Berlin. Both of us wrote a few lines about that moment. There was way more tension, stress, and emotion involved than these lines uncover. And instead of starting a long-planned and longed-for one month road trip together

Reconnecting.

Two weeks ago, I was lucky to participate in the Climate Farming Congress in Southern Germany. The energy was different here, between these 60 people from all around Europe, farmers, and organizations engaged in regenerative agriculture, or better agri-culture. It felt less a conference and way more a re-connection and

Growing the local mycorrhiza network

When you travel 8 hours across the countryside one way to take part in a very local soil event you have time to think why you are doing what you are doing. When I say yes to invitations I don’t have specific expectations. I mostly follow my curiosity to see

You can’t heal the earth. You can only heal places.

The last days with the release of the IPCC report were full of pictures of flames and fires. In my Instagram feed, in the news – everywhere we were shown the catastrophe on the horizon if we don’t act together in the next 15 years to avoid the climate collapse.

Creating your lighthouse

„What’s quality of life for you?“ is a question we ask ourselves in our relationship quite regularly. To understand the other person better. To understand me better. And to be able to aim for a better together. That sounds a lot like methodology and work. But with a glass of

The new normal

Through the pandemic, one term got punched around a lot: ‘the new normal’. Seeing people with face masks everywhere, bumping elbows to say Hi, or bringing your kid to a Zoom call – things very untypical for my environment just a year ago became very normal. We adapt to change

Feeling whole.

Almost exactly 3 years ago I arrived in Berlin after almost 9 months of traveling. Being loaded with new experiences about places, people, and myself. I came back not because I felt ready or done with traveling. I originally thought I wouldn’t come back to Germany for a while. I

Why everyone’s story matters

Micro-narratives come from people. They’re the bits and pieces of stories we tell each other every day. The stories of how things get done around here, the short-hand comments that carry lots of meaning, without explicitly saying what that meaning is. Our values that become visible in our actions. Collecting

Regenerating.

I hear the soft drops hitting the car‘s roof. The sky turned to greys and grey-blues when the last pink of the Sunset disappears on the horizon. It’s quiet, except the rain drops hitting the roof of my car. I can’t believe how lucky I am. I almost didn’t make

A new decade in the making.

I look into the mirror, my reflection is mustering me with curiosity. I look old, crosses my mind. The last 4 years I didn’t really celebrate my birthday. I traveled alone to Iceland, spend a day in Los Angeles, made a multiple-day hike, or explored Berlin with Bridget during the

In a state of not knowing

Breakfast. It’s calm. I just hear the buzzing of the fridge. The cats have left the kitchen after their breakfast while I’m still munching on my musli bowl and cup of coffee.  I stand at the window looking into the backyard and to the row of apartment houses across –
