For the longest time, I thought | just had to find the *right job*, the right field of work, and that would be it. I would just get really good at it and stay with it.
But I never dia. After a couple of years of immersion in each field, I always moved on. And every time I started something new, I also had to close the old chapter.
My brain was working from an “either…or” mentality. “I just have to find the one right thing and commit to it!”
5 years of fully immersing myself into regenerative agriculture, getting hands-on, and deeply involved in managing holistically, I feel I’m at this point again.
Do I continue like that, or do something completely different?
“Either or” doesn’t really serve us well. We are never “either or” in our roles and daily lives. What if it was never be about “either or” when it comes to creating our own paths?
It’s the “as well as” mindset that opens up the moment. Brings back awareness and creativity. To stay in the moment and enjoy the path. Maybe that’s for me to be close to farmers and farming while exploring other parts that are mine to play as well.
Because that’s what we are, I guess. A big mosaic of experiences glued together somehow. Maybe by our relationships along the way?
Easier said than done. But let’s work with that for now.
Where will “as well as” take you?
